Crazy Paws🐾😊

FIRST CLICK!

The first ever click of my dog; my happy pill; my stress-reliever.
Adopted in 2008, Spot was a naughty attention-seeker soon after adoption.  Could one take eyes off him for a second, would he bring plants un-rooted from the garden at our feet!

HOME-MADE HATS!
It's so sunny outside and I thought of wearing a home- made hat. Of course all you need is an empty cup, card-  board, wrapping paper and a ribbon!

Birthday Boy🎁🎂🍕
It was our dog’s 10th birthday and we thought of paying our love towards him for all what he has done for us: for protecting us, for entertaining us with all of his crazy naughty stuff, for making us laugh all the time and for keeping us happy throughout all the past years. So we had a small birthday party with some of his favorite munchies which he enjoyed a lot.

     My Classy Dog
Spot is so stylish. He likes to dress up himself with trendy clothes. He mostly prefers wearing t-shirts. On chilly days he never forgets to remind us about his t-shirts whenever we forget to dress him up,  by showing off various signs, and all his indications end up after wearing his clothes.

Busy nights with heavy duty😁
I found my pet dog on the road and now he has found a good shelter in which he can sleep safely in the nights without  any fear. The funny thing is that some nights he goes and sleeps in the bedrooms and falls a heavy sleep which leads my mother to go and sleep on the sofa to do his duty.

Welcome to my home sweet home!💒
Spot the naughty boy was just a little pup when we brought him to our house from the dusty road. He was very silent and we did not hear a bark from him until several months. At the beginning he was a bit scared to come inside the house and day by day he managed to widen his surrounding that he spent inside the house. Time passed away and he got settled in our house knowing each and every corner better than us.

How dare you look at me?🤔
My pet is good at giving funny looks. But he doesn't like to be in front of the camera. Whenever I focus the camera at him or whenever I take my phone and just pretend that I’m taking a photo of him, he instantly changes all of his postures and looks and refuses it doing weird things.

Mr Silly😃
My dog has a keen interest on learning physics. Whenever I study on my table he comes and puts me off the chair, takes my seat and goes through my book as if he's interested on the subject.

My hobby is sleeping!
My pet always practices this logic: early to bed late to rise keeps me healthy and wise.
Sometimes I feel so jealous of him when I see him sleeping covered with all his sheets when I wake up in the morning to go to work. He is so clever at falling quick and hefty naps and even sometimes I wonder if I could be him. No job! Nothing to study! Nothing to be worried about! Gets his meals on time! Gets attention more than enough!
He knows how to gets his things done the way he prefers. What a lucky little fellow!

The weekly bath🛁
Mr Spot hates to have his weekly bath. Whenever he hears the word 'bath' or if he notices us taking his shampoo bottle or bowl or making thins ready for his bath, he hides under a bed, trying to cover his head and body with his tail popping out from the edges of the bed. This stupid little furry ball thinks that when he covers his head and body we couldn't catch him at all.

selfie time with 'em!And..the cat wanted a selfie with me. Photo bombing by the dog of course...

for the love of bunnies...can we take more photos please???
right on the bell! Bonny the goat knows when to get the teat into the mouth. A daily dose of milk right at 10 am is all what it obeys

pocket-sized snowy...it's just awesome when you know that you fit in the pocket so that you can be traveling the whole day

cuddles and huggles alive-alive-o! Puzzled??? How many dogs can you see?

Ruby with tick fever...Labrador retrievers never forget to show a bit of cuteness even if they are down...

What took me to the UN

I was invited to the United Nations' International Labour Organization for a consultative meeting with the stakeholders of the entrepreneurial system to conduct a start-up ecosystem mapping for the first time in Sri Lanka on the 17th of January 2025 This is my first time to even go to the United Nations and I'm grateful that I was invited. In my invitation it mentioned that I was invited for the potential that I showcased as a young entrepreneur  There were only four young entrepreneurs who were invited while the rest was about 50 other massive stakeholders and entrepreneurs themselves But, what exactly made me to the UN? I was pondering about the "potential" and yes, I think I figured out  1. social impact : aligns with 10 SDGs of UN From healing pets to creating industries, employment and promoting innovation, my work expands in the most sustainable ways 2. health impact : promotes longevity and sustainability of pets directly and human beings indirectl...

Leptospirosis as a zoonosis

Leptospirosis awareness A timely topic as there's a Leptospirosis outbreak in the Northern province of Sri Lanka. I see a gap in the level of awareness on prevention and transmission regarding this topic although there are plenty of sources to explain the symptoms of the disease. It's vital to raise awareness on prevention of spread of the disease among the non-infected at a same level as of the attempts to cure the already infected individuas! Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease - a disease that is transmitted to humans via animals Leptospirosis, also known as "මී උණ" in Sinhala is a highly contagious disease caused by the bacteria Leptospira The carrier of the disease is rodents such as rats, mice and even squirrels The carriers can transmit Leptospira bacteria to most of the mammals such as humans, dogs, cats, cattle, horses, wild animals and marine mammals How does the bacteria enter into an individual? There are several ways by which the bacter...
